Job Summary
Join Crystal Jade as a Finance Manager / Assistant Finance Manager to lead financial reporting, business partnering, and cost control within the food & beverage sector, driving accurate financial management and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Review monthly profit and loss statements and prepare detailed commentaries on variances and abnormalities to inform business decisions
- Reconcile monthly bank accounts and balance sheet schedules including fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, and provisions to ensure accuracy
- Manage and coordinate month-end closing activities to meet reporting deadlines
- Reconcile prior year audit adjustments, post entries into Epicor, and verify trial balance alignment with audited financial statements
- Assist in year-end audits and prepare annual return filings to maintain regulatory compliance
- Review financial statements prepared in XBRL format and submit to ACRA in accordance with statutory requirements
- Provide accurate information to tax agents and review tax packages for IRAS submissions
- Support budgeting processes by supplying relevant financial data and analysis
- Prepare sub-consolidation reporting packages for internal and group reporting purposes
- Review quarterly GST submissions to ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Project cash flow to support treasury planning and liquidity management
- Execute treasury activities to optimize cash management and financial risk mitigation
- Maintain FRS 116 lease accounting workings to comply with financial reporting standards
- Prepare group consolidation reports for Singapore entities and maintain intercompany transaction matrices
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with SFRS and group accounting policies
- Support auditors during internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Address accounting issues and queries from various departments, providing guidance on correct accounting treatments
- Monitor compliance of business units with corporate governance, standard operating policies, and regulatory requirements
- Lead and contribute to ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned to support finance team objectives
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience including audit and tax reporting
- Strong understanding of IFRS and local tax regulations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience managing multiple entities and working within the food & beverage industry
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin to liaise effectively with English and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines
