Lead Finance
Role Overview
We are hiring a
Lead Finance to be a core member of the finance leadership team, working closely with the
Vice President Finance.
This is a
high-ownership and high-visibility role for a
Chartered Accountant who wants to help build and scale the finance function in a fast-growing
wealth management startup.
The role spans
Controllership and Business Finance, with a strong focus on building systems, driving financial discipline, and enabling strategic decision-making as the company scales.
This position is designed as a
leadership pipeline role, offering significant exposure to founders, investors, and key strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Metrics & Financial Planning
Lead the
annual budgeting process and develop
rolling forecasts with forward-looking scenario modelling.
Establish
measurable performance metrics across business units to improve capital efficiency.
Monitor performance against budgets and provide actionable insights.
- Unit Economics & Profitability Analysis
Analyze
product, partner, and channel-level unit economics.
Evaluate
pricing structures and incentive frameworks to optimize long-term margins.
Assess new initiatives through
financial modelling, investment evaluation, and return analysis.
- Controllership & Financial Governance
Oversee
bookkeeping, reconciliations, provisions, and periodic financial closures.
Strengthen
financial controls, governance frameworks, and compliance processes.
Ensure the organization maintains
audit readiness and financial hygiene at all times.
- Strategic Finance & Decision Support
Support
board reporting and investor updates.
Translate complex financial data into
clear strategic insights for leadership.
Automate reporting systems to
improve visibility and reduce operational friction.
Build
KPI dashboards that shift conversations from

Design finance processes that
scale efficiently with business growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile
This Role Is Suited For Someone Who
Is a
Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of post-qualification experience
Has experience in
fintech, financial services, SaaS, or high-growth startup environments
