Job Description

We are looking for highly motivated Finance Intern to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates with a strong academic background in finance and accounting to gain hands-on experience in real-world bookkeeping and general accounting practices.

The selected candidates will primarily work on Zoho Books and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong theoretical knowledge, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization, while maintaining integrity and confidentiality in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, expense tracking, and reconciliations
  • Issue purchase orders in Zoho as per company procurement guidelines
  • Review vendor invoices before processing payments
  • Maintain and update accounts payable and receivable records
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and monthly closing activities
  • Handle general ledger entries related to vendor payments, salaries, bonuses, and accruals
  • Monitor bank transactions and support bank reconciliation processes
  • Maintain financial documents in compliance with internal and statutory policies
  • Assist in internal audits and related documentation
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data accuracy
  • Learn and effectively use Zoho Books for daily accounting activities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Maintain accurate vendor records including payment terms and details
  • Follow up and close petty cash, advances, and reimbursements
  • Process employee reimbursement claims ensuring proper documentation and approvals
  • Maintain positive working relationships within the team and across departments

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance/Commerce (B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA – Finance)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (double-entry, accruals, ledgers)
  • Knowledge of financial statements (P&L, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, data handling, and analysis)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
