Job Title: Finance Head / Finance Controller

Role Summary

Responsible for leading and managing the overall finance function of the company, including financial

planning, budgeting, project costing, cash flow management, and statutory compliance. The role

ensures that all financial activities are carried out in a structured and disciplined manner, supporting

smooth project execution and business operations. It involves working closely with management and

cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, control costs, manage risks, and ensure project

profitability. The role also ensures compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and supports

the organization in achieving both short-term and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Management

Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans aligned with company

objectives.

Support management in financial decision-making and long-term planning.

Monitor overall financial performance and recommend improvements where required.

Project Costing and Profitability

Monitor project costing and profitability by coordinating with project and estimation teams.

Track cost variations and identify any overruns at an early stage.

Ensure projects are executed within approved budgets and expected margins.

Cash Flow and Working Capital Management

Manage cash flow by planning inflows and outflows effectively.

Ensure timely collection from clients and maintain control over receivables.

Plan and manage vendor payments to support smooth operations.

Maintain healthy working capital for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with proper analysis.

Present financial data to management for review and decision-making.

Ensure accuracy, transparency, and consistency in financial records.

Legal and Statutory Compliance

Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other applicable laws.

Handle statutory filings and ensure timely submission of returns.

Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government authorities.

Maintain proper documentation and ensure audit readiness at all times.

Contract and Commercial Management

Review client and vendor contracts from a financial and risk perspective.

Identify risks related to payment terms, penalties, and variations.

Support commercial team in financial evaluation and negotiations.

Cost Control and Expense Management

Monitor company expenses and maintain control over costs.

Compare budgeted and actual spending and take corrective actions.

Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

Internal Controls and Risk Management

Establish and maintain internal financial controls and systems.

Ensure financial discipline and prevent errors or irregularities.

Identify financial risks and take corrective and preventive measures.

Team Management and Coordination

Lead and guide the finance and accounts team in daily activities.

Ensure coordination with procurement, project, and HR teams.

Promote financial awareness and discipline across departments.

Qualifications Required

Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience Required

3 to 4 years of experience in finance Management

Experience in construction, project, engineering, or manufacturing industry preferred

Key Skills

Strong knowledge of project costing and financial management

Good understanding of taxation, statutory compliance, and company laws

Strong cash flow and working capital management skills

Good analytical and problem-solving ability

Strong leadership and communication skills

Knowledge of ERP systems
