Job Title: Executive – Finance
Location: Mumbai Industry: Media (Television & Digital)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Executive to support the Branded Content business from a Finance MIS perspective. The role involves managing event budgets, ensuring accurate financial tracking, and delivering timely profitability analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and effective business insights.
Key Responsibilities
1. Budget Management
• Update and maintain budgets for approved events in SAP.
• Ensure timely closure of internal orders in SAP upon event completion to control budget utilization.
• Identify and flag incorrect invoice bookings against event budgets and coordinate rectifications.
2. Event P&L Closure
• Monitor event completion timelines to ensure timely P&L actualization.
• Prepare and finalize post-event P&Ls by accurately mapping revenue and cost entries from SAP.
• Reconcile event-related expenses with user teams and Accounts Payable to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Create and upload standardized revenue and cost templates for P&L closure.
3. Compliance & Controls
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and financial data.
• Continuously review and update processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
4. Reporting & MIS
• Maintain documentation in line with accounting and auditing standards.
• Track deliverables and ensure proper documentation for all event P&Ls.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including revenue and cost recognition in line with IND AS.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports for the Branded Content business for management review.
• Assist in preparing ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required.
Qualifications
• Graduate in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Freshers are welcome to apply.
• CA Articled Trainees seeking industrial experience will be preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Basic understanding of Accounts Payable processes is an advantage.
