Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Finance Executive to support the Accounting, Compliance, and Controllership at a fast-growing deeptech startup. This role offers exposure to end-to-end finance operations, including financial reporting, compliance, and fundraising support. You will work closely with the leadership team, auditors, and external advisors while helping build scalable finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in maintaining books of accounts, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing
- Manage daily accounting operations using ERP systems
- Perform bank, cash, and vendor reconciliations
- Generate invoices and track collections
- Handle statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF, etc.) and related reporting
- Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, banks, and external consultants
- Track MIS for cash flow, payables, receivables, and statutory dues
- Support implementation of financial controls and processes
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Support on tax and company secretarial matters, along with an external provider
Qualifications
- Any degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA, CMA, or pursuing professional qualifications is a plus
- Strong accounting fundamentals
- Working knowledge of GST, PF, TDS, and other compliances
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar)
- High attention to detail and process orientation
- Ability to work in an unstructured, fast-moving startup environment
- Ownership mindset and willingness to take responsibility
- Clear communication and coordination skills
