Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Finance Executive to manage day-to-day accounting, compliance, and financial operations. The role involves handling bookkeeping, statutory compliance, reconciliations, payroll coordination, and supporting audits and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • To handle the day-to-day accounting function and ensure closing of books in time bound manner on periodic basis including periodic bank reconciliation, provisions/accruals, ledger scrutiny, vendor & statutory payments etc.
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with the applicable accounting framework.
  • Liaise with consultants for GST, TDS, ROC, and related compliance requirements.
  • Review monthly GST returns, prepare reconciliations, and ensure alignment between books of accounts and GST portal.
  • Compute and deduct TDS on vendor payments, review TDS returns, and ensure books of accounts are reconciled with filed TDS returns.
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare periodic financial and management reports.
  • Support audits and provide required documentation as and when needed.
  • Assist in Legal tasks - contract management and tracking, understanding and negotiating on contracts.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and ledger reconciliations, and ensure all supporting documents are maintained for audit and compliance purposes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field. Masters in Finance or Legal will be a plus.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on finance/accounting experience, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial documentation
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/ google sheets (pivot tables, formulas) and working knowledge of accounting tools/software
  • Detail-oriented with strong numerical and organizational skills
  • Ownership and accountability
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
