Role Description - Finance Executive
Financial Accounting
- Record and maintain all the entries of day-to-day business transactions like Sales, Purchase, Payment, receipts, purchase Order etc in Tally
- Keep Bank Accounts up to date by posting day-to-day transactions
- Maintain all the records & files in a proper manner
- Record all expenses and review those expenses & keep the track of expenses every month
- Update accounts payable and receivables and performs reconciliations with Bank
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Statutory reporting and filing
- Prepare monthly GST Data and TDS data and file GST, TDS
- Generating invoices and challan in the company's software on a day-to-day basis after interacting with the BD team
- Assist with Tax audits and annual Tax returns as applicable
- Assist with other compliances – which may be required from time to time (labour related as applicable)
Collections
- Chase clients for payments/ outstanding and respond to queries relating to these
- Check that TDS deducted by clients, is as per Form13 approvals of lower TDS as relevant
- Help management team reduce outstandings and manage working capital better
MIS and Reporting
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
- Prepare BS and P&L
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Assist in monthly Operational Metrics reporting – post training on MIS
- Help generate relevant Management reports from Tally
Documentation and office support
- Record keeping of contracts, other documentation as advised from time to time
- Office support / admin as requested from time to time
- Administrative , Leave management and Contract Management in addition to the Finance role
- Updating the IndusGuru portal with the invoice data and consultant payment data.
- Using the IndusGuru portal for MIS and ensuring compliance.
- External Audit support
Qualities required
1. Basic knowledge of GST, TDS & other accounting terms.
2. Good command over MS-Excel & MS-Word
3. Good understanding of accounting principles
4.Basic knowledge of banking, E- way bills and other similar work
5. Ability to keep documents and data well organized
