Job Description

Key Objective:

To lead the financial strategy and operations of the hotel by providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis and reporting, ensuring the safeguarding of assets, regulatory compliance, and the development of the finance team, in alignment with the hotel's strategic goals and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Financial Leadership

  • Lead the financial input in the formulation and implementation of the Hotel's Strategic Plan, Annual Budget, and other long-term financial planning exercises.
  • Maximize the hotel's cash flow performance through effective cost control, revenue management, and capital planning.

Internal Controls & Asset Protection

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all revenues, expenses, and asset management.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of all hotel assets through proper accounting, auditing, and reporting procedures.

Ethical Business Practices

  • Maintain transparent and ethical relationships with clients, customers, suppliers, and financial partners.
  • Promote mutually beneficial partnerships, essential to the long-term success of the hotel.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver accurate, timely financial and operating reports, providing analysis, interpretations, and forward-looking projections.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Finance Manual, and align reporting with brand and ownership expectations.

Legal Compliance

  • Ensure that the hotel's financial operations comply with local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Seek legal counsel as necessary regarding financial practices, contracts, and other regulatory matters.

Records Management

  • Ensure the proper safekeeping and accessibility of all financial records, including contracts, leases, and legal documentation.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead the development of all Finance associates, including identifying training needs and facilitating training opportunities.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the finance team with a focus on accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain professional relationships and act as the primary liaison with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, tax authorities, and legal consultants.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, CA, or MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 5–7 years in a senior financial management role, preferably in luxury hospitality or hotel operations
  • Deep understanding of hospitality finance operations, local regulatory compliance, and financial controls
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop teams
  • Experience in working with financial software, ERP systems, and MS Office tools
  • High integrity, business acumen, and a commitment to excellence
