About The Role
As an Accountant - Finance Executive at Clutterbot, you will play a key role in supporting the day to day financial operations of our fast-growing technology startup. This role requires a detail driven professional with strong accounting skills who can maintain accurate financial records, process transactions efficiently, and provide valuable support for financial reporting and analysis. Working within a collaborative team, you will help ensure our financial operations as we continue to scale our innovative robotics solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Maintenance of a vendor database with details of vendors.
- Vendor expense accruals and recording of payables in a timely manner.
- Obtaining invoices from vendors/stakeholders/ employees and follow ups on the same.
- Maintaining ZOHO Books with appropriate controls and record keeping.
- Undertaking bank reconciliations on a periodic basis.
- Assistance in calculations of withholding taxes wherever applicable.
- Updating of fixed asset register on a periodic basis for new additions made.
- Assistance in all statutory remittances (ie Provident fund, GST, withholding taxes etc).
- Assistance in all year end activities (such as annual audit, tax return provisions, GST reconciliations etc).
- Collaborating effectively with our global team to ensure seamless financial operations across time zones.
- Ad hoc financial assistance and analysis across Clutterbot entities.
Experience
- Minimum of 3+ years experience as a finance executive or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting procedures with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skills for efficient data handling and analysis.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Degree in Finance or Accounting; candidates working towards their CA qualification will be favourably considered.
- Experience within the tech startup environment is considered a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment with evolving priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.
