Finance Executive (CA)
Location: Gurugram
Experience: 2–4 years post-qualification
Qualification:Mandatory – Chartered Accountant (CA)
Role Overview
The Finance Executive will be the
financial backbone of PS.
This role owns
day-to-day finance operations, ensures
tight financial discipline, and acts as the first line of defense against cost leakages, compliance risks, and poor budgeting decisions.
This is a
hands-on execution role, not a passive reporting role.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Financial Operations
- Maintain accurate books of accounts (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Handle vendor payments, reconciliations, and payout schedules.
- Manage invoicing (client, studio, vendor) and follow-ups.
- Oversee expense tracking, reimbursements, and approvals.
- Ensure clean closing of books every month.
- MIS & Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly MIS reports for founders:
- Revenue, GMV, margins
- Cost center-wise spend
- Budget vs actual analysis
- Flag cost overruns, abnormal spends, and inefficiencies proactively.
- Create financial visibility across teams (Tech, Product, BD, Ops).
- Budgeting & Financial Discipline
- Own annual and quarterly budgets.
- Track line-item level spends against approved budgets.
- Highlight when:
- Budgets are breached
- Run-rate is unhealthy
- Any spend lacks clear ROI justification
- Enforce internal financial controls and approval workflows.
- Compliance & Statutory Filings
- Handle GST filings, returns, and reconciliations.
- Manage TDS, PF, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliances.
- Coordinate with external Chartered Accountants, auditors, and consultants.
- Ensure zero compliance slippages or penalties.
- Advisory & Finance Support
- Advise founders on:
- GST implications on gaming, rewards, and ecommerce transactions
- Billing structures and tax efficiency
- Vendor contracts and payment structures
- Support fundraising, audits, and due-diligence processes.
- Assist in improving financial systems, tools, and SOPs as the company scales.
What We're Looking For
Must-Have
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.
- Strong understanding of startup accounting and compliance.
- Experience handling GST, TDS, PF, PT, invoicing, and audits.
- Extremely detail-oriented and process-driven.
- High integrity and ownership mindset.

- Experience in startups, fintech, ecommerce, gaming, or marketplaces.
- Ability to work with messy data and bring structure.
