About the Role : We are looking for a high-performing Controllership professional to oversee the financial reporting, compliance, and control environment at Turno. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting across all entities and the consolidated group, managing statutory audits, and maintaining strong governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Lead preparation and finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with Indian GAAP / Ind-AS and applicable regulations.

Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings with accuracy in books, reconciliations, and schedules.

Maintain and enforce robust accounting policies, ensuring consistency with evolving standards. Audits & Assurance

Coordinate with statutory auditors for timely completion of statutory audits.

Manage internal audits and ensure effective remediation of audit findings.

Support due diligence processes for investors, lenders, and other stakeholders.

Controls & Governance

Strengthen internal control frameworks and ensure adherence to corporate governance norms.

Drive process improvements in accounting, reporting, and compliance functions.

Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in financial operations. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

Liaise with tax advisors for direct and indirect tax compliance and assessments.

Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate, regulatory, and secretarial requirements.

Team Leadership

Mentor, guide, and develop a high-performing controllership team.

Build strong cross-functional collaboration with finance, operations, and legal teams.

Preferred Background

CA with 1012 years of post-qualification experience.

Minimum 45 years of direct controllership / core accounting & reporting experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth industry or start up environment.

Prior experience in a lending background is preferred.

Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP / Ind-AS and statutory compliance.

Experience in audits (statutory/internal/due diligence) is essential.

Exposure to consolidation of multi-entity structures is strongly preferred.
