Finance Controller US & India

Phox Health is looking for a hands-on Finance Controller to own and drive finance and controllership activities across our US and India businesses. The ideal candidate is someone who can work at both the strategic and transaction level — independently managing core finance activities while partnering with leadership, external advisors, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly close and financial reporting for US and India entities
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, management reports, and key financial metrics
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow planning, and management reporting
• Review and manage day-to-day accounting activities, including AP, AR, billing, collections, payroll, vendor payments, and COD settlements
• Perform and review account reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage intercompany accounting and support transfer-pricing requirements
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and other month-end accounting activities
• Establish and maintain approval workflows, financial controls, and accounting processes
• Coordinate with US CPAs, Indian CAs, auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners
• Support audit, tax, and statutory compliance requirements across US and India
• Review and approve payroll, payment, and client-remittance batches
• Work closely with transaction-level operational data to identify discrepancies, improve controls, and drive accuracy
• Build automated, scalable finance processes and reduce manual work
• Provide financial insights and analysis to US and India leadership to support business decisions
• Drive continuous improvement across finance operations, systems, and reporting

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification
• 10–15 years of hands-on finance, accounting, and controllership experience
• Strong experience managing or working directly with US and India accounting operations. Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting, audits, taxation, compliance, and internal controls
• Hands-on experience with monthly close, reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management. Comfortable working with transaction-level financial and operational data
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently drive finance processes from execution through completion
• Experience working with external CPAs, CAs, auditors, and tax advisors
• Experience in a high-growth healthcare or logistics company is preferred
• Ability to overlap with US working hours when required
