About The Role
sa.global is seeking an experienced and business-focused
Finance Controller to lead the finance function for India operations.
This role will drive financial strategy, governance, commercial finance oversight, and statutory compliance while ensuring alignment with global finance standards.
Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Control
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
- Prepare MIS reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
- Ensure accuracy of financial records in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- SPOC for annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for India operations.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts; analyze and report variances.
- Assist leadership with financial analysis and decision support
Commercial & Operational Finance
- Monitor project costs and margin performance.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.
- Oversee receivables, working capital, and cash flow management.
- Supervise day-to-day finance operations, including AP, AR, and the General Ledger
Fund Management & Cash Flow Control
- Oversee fund utilisation and ensure effective cash flow management.
- Monitor working capital, liquidity, and cash generation.
- Coordinate with leadership to ensure optimal deployment of funds.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with global finance teams for reporting and alignment.
- Work closely with PMO, Delivery, and project teams to ensure financial discipline.
- Ensure deviations from approved budgets are reviewed and approved as per the authority matrix.
Revenue & Contract Compliance
- Ensure revenue recognition aligns with contractual terms and applicable accounting standards.
- Oversee billing milestones and revenue booking processes.
Audit & Compliance
- Lead internal and statutory audits for India operations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.
- Strengthen internal control frameworks and governance processes.
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
Process Improvement, Automation, and AI
- Champion Automation and Digital Transformation in finance processes.
- Leverage Advanced Analytics and AI for Decision Support.
- Strengthen ERP utilisation (MS Dynamics preferred).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Chartered Accountant (mandatory)
- 10+ years of progressive finance/leadership experience
- Strong experience in financial control, commercial finance, and compliance
- Experience in IT, consulting, or project-based environments preferred
- Proven leadership experience managing finance teams
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, and cost control
- Experience working within a multinational reporting structure
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong MS Dynamics utilisation experience
