Job Title: Finance Controller / Head of Finance
Role Overview
We are looking to hire a Finance Controller to set up and manage the in-house finance function. This role will be responsible for bringing structure to financial operations, ensuring compliance, and building robust reporting and planning frameworks as the organization scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end bookkeeping and financial accounting processes
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements
- Prepare and manage monthly MIS reports for leadership and stakeholders
- Drive Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Build and maintain financial models and projections (equity and debt)
- Work closely with leadership on cash flow management and cost optimization
- Coordinate with external partners for audits, due diligence, and fundraising support
- Set up and streamline finance processes, controls, and systems
- Lay the foundation for building an in-house finance team over time
Candidate Profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5+ years of experience, preferably in early-stage startups
- Strong hands-on experience in accounting, compliance, and MIS reporting
- Exposure to FP&A and financial modeling
- Ability to work in a 0→1 setup, building processes from scratch
- Prior experience working with investors or fundraising environments is a plus
- Comfortable operating in a high-growth, ambiguous environment
