Dodo Payments is the Monetisation Engine for AI-native products. We're a Merchant of Record + Billing & Monetization platform that helps SaaS, AI, and digital businesses accept payments globally, automate billing (subscriptions, usage-based, one-time), and stay fully compliant with taxes and regulations in 220+ countries.
We collect payments on behalf of thousands of businesses, then remit to their accounts. This creates unique complexity: multi-entity accounting, FX management, global tax compliance, and real-time payout orchestration across 220+ countries.
We're looking for a sharp, operationally excellent Finance Controller to own the financial engine that makes this work.
Role Overview
You will build and scale the financial operations infrastructure, manage cash flow across entities, ensure regulatory compliance globally, and provide strategic financial insights to the founders.
This is an on-site role in Bengaluru, reporting directly to the founders.
What You'll Own
- Multi-entity accounting and consolidation globally
- Payout operations to businesses worldwide
- Foreign exchange strategy and hedging
- Global sales tax, VAT, GST compliance (220+ countries)
- Cash flow forecasting and treasury management
- Financial close, MIS, and investor reporting
- Payroll, reimbursements, and operational finance
If the books don't close, tax isn't filed, or payouts fail - this role owns fixing it.
What You'll Do
- Own accounting for multiple entities across jurisdictions
- Manage global payouts to thousands of businesses on the platform
- Execute FX hedging and manage multi-currency treasury
- Ensure global tax compliance, filings, and audits
- Produce monthly MIS, cash flow reports, and board packages
- Drive financial close, GAAP/IFRS compliance, and audits
- Manage payroll, AP/AR, and operational finance
- Build scalable finance systems and automation
What You Bring
- 3+ years in finance
- CA/CPA or equivalent accounting qualification required
- Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency accounting
- Deep knowledge of global tax compliance (VAT, GST, sales tax)
- Strong grasp of treasury, cash flow, and FX management
- Proven ability to scale finance operations in high-growth startups
- Comfort working directly with founders and boards
Nice to Have
- Experience in payments, fintech, or Merchant of Record businesses
- Background in global tax compliance automation
- Experience managing external audits and investor due diligence
- Prior work with international payout systems
- CFA or MBA from a top institution
What This Role Is Not
- Not a pure accounting role - you need to think strategically
- Not a CFO role yet, but could grow into it
- Not limited to India operations - this is global from day one
