Role Overview
We are seeking a finance professional to manage books of accounts, statutory compliance, audits, and GST-related activities across the organization. The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, compliance orientation, and the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders. The individual will play a key role in strengthening financial controls, driving process excellence, supporting financial reporting and planning, and enabling business growth through data-backed financial insights.
Core Responsibilities
- Accounting & Financial Close
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
- Review journal entries, provisions, accruals, and ledger reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
- GST & Tax Compliance
- Handle GST calculations, reconciliations, and return filings.
- Manage GST notices, assessments, and queries.
- Monitor Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliations.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Audit & Compliance
- Lead statutory, internal, and tax audit coordination.
- Prepare audit schedules, reports, and supporting documents.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, including IND AS, and compliance requirements.
- Support implementation of financial controls and governance frameworks.
- Develop and strengthen finance policies, SOPs, and internal control processes.
- Financial Reporting & Planning
- Assist in preparation of MIS, financial statements, and management reports.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Prepare investor reports and management presentations.
- Analyze financial data and highlight key observations, risks, and opportunities.
- Support business growth through data-backed financial insights and predictive analysis.
- Process Excellence & Automation
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives across finance functions.
- Build, implement, and optimise scalable finance processes and reporting frameworks.
- Reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency through system enhancements and workflow automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen financial processes and support business growth.
What are we looking for
- CA qualification with 2–7 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in GST compliance and filings.
- ERP exposure: Microsoft Business Central ERP / Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC) is required.
- Proven ability to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency through automation and process improvements.
- Experience in startup, retail, e-commerce, or technology-driven environments preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and ownership mindset.
- Ability to build scalable finance processes and support business growth through data-driven insights.
