Role Overview

We're looking for a Finance Writer with strong research skills, a passion for money and markets, and the creative edge to write video-first content scripts that make complex financial topics easy to understand and fun to watch.

This role is specifically geared towards writing scripts for short-form video content, digital series, influencer-led explainers, and fintech storytelling. You'll work closely with directors, creative producers, and editors to bring financial narratives to life on camera.

Key Responsibilities

• Write compelling video scripts around finance, investing, personal money management, and fintech innovation

• Collaborate with creative teams to conceptualize content formats and episode ideas for a new Fintech video channel

• Research trends in Indian and global markets, mutual funds, crypto, trading platforms, economic policies, and more

• Structure and simplify complex topics into snappy, clear, and binge-worthy episodes (Reels, Shorts, LinkedIn explainers)

• Ideate for creator-led content, influencer campaigns, and branded finance formats

• Maintain a tone that is credible yet accessible, sharp yet relatable—perfect for a Gen-Z and millennial audience

• Write hooks, headlines, punchlines, and outro lines that drive engagement and shareability

• Stay on top of finance content trends across YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn

Qualifications:

• Have 4–6 years of experience in finance content writing, journalism, or scripting for digital media

• Have a deep interest in investing, trading, personal finance, fintech, or economic trends

• Know how to write for video not just long-form articles or blogs

• Have a strong grasp of financial terminology, but also know how to simplify it for a mass audience

• Are comfortable working in a creative setup with producers, DOPs, editors, and directors

• Can juggle multiple scripts, deadlines, and content formats with ease

• Are tuned into both pop culture and finance culture

Bonus Points:

• Past experience writing explainer videos, YouTube shows, or social media scripts

• Background in finance, economics, or digital journalism

• Experience scripting creator/influencer-led videos in the finance or tech domain
