Finance Closing Assistant & Supervisor

Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities accurately and within strict timelines.

Prepare, review, and post standard and non-standard journal entries, accruals, and prepayments directly within SAP.

Perform extensive general ledger (GL) scrutiny and ensure all accounts are fully reconciled, including bank, inter-company, and vendor reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and monthly management reporting packets.

Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain fluctuations in financial metrics.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support statutory, tax, and internal audits.

Ensure strict compliance with standard accounting principles, company policies, and all applicable statutory regulations.

Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train a team of finance associates, ensuring optimal performance and workload distribution during peak closing periods.

Closing Oversight: Drive and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing cycles to meet strict corporate deadlines.

Entry Review: Review and approve standard and non-standard journal entries, complex accruals, and prepayments processed by the team within SAP. Reconciliation & Scrutiny: Oversee comprehensive general ledger (GL) scrutiny, resolve escalated discrepancies, and review final bank, inter-company, and vendor reconciliations.

Reporting & Analysis: Consolidate financial data to prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, and detailed monthly management reporting packets. Conduct in-depth variance analysis.

Audit Coordination: Act as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and resolving audit queries for statutory and tax audits.

Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere strictly to standard accounting principles (GAAP/Ind AS), company policies, and applicable statutory regulations.
