Finance Business Transformation Analyst – SAP S/4 HANA UAT
Location: Bangalore
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Business Transformation Analyst to support Finance transformation initiatives, project delivery, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
This role combines Finance and Accounting expertise, business systems analysis, and hands-on UAT execution to ensure successful delivery of Finance systems and capabilities aligned with business requirements. The primary focus will be on SAP S/4 HANA Order-to-Cash (Quote-to-Collect) processes and related boundary systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with Finance Business Transformation Leads, Revenue Operations, Product Owners, Project Managers, Engineering teams, and Finance stakeholders to validate business processes, ensure system readiness, and support transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process & Requirements Analysis
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with Finance stakeholders, Revenue Operations, Engineering teams, and project members.
- Participate in requirement gathering sessions and document business requirements with a focus on accounting, reporting, and finance operations.
- Analyze current-state and future-state Finance processes to identify impacts, risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Support process documentation, internal controls, and business process governance activities.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Assist in developing UAT strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Execute User Acceptance Testing for Quote-to-Collect (QTC), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Revenue Recognition, Billing, and related Finance processes.
- Validate integrations between SAP S/4 HANA and boundary systems.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with business users and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery against business requirements.
Finance Transformation & Go-Live Support
- Support Finance transformation initiatives and system modernization programs.
- Assist in training, change management, and transition activities for new business processes and system capabilities.
- Perform post-go-live validation and production order monitoring.
- Support backlog items, enhancements, future releases, and ongoing UAT activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- 8–12 years of overall professional experience with at least 5+ years supporting Finance transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on experience performing Finance UAT within SAP S/4 HANA environments.
- Strong understanding of Quote-to-Collect (QTC), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Revenue Recognition, Billing, and Finance operations.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and its application within enterprise Finance systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and business process evaluation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced transformation environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- CA, CMA, CPA, MBA, or equivalent Finance certification.
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC, Business Objects, and Finance reporting platforms.
- Experience working within Software, SaaS, Subscription, or Technology industries.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including data analysis and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) and subscription-based business models.
- Experience supporting large-scale ERP transformation programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, inspire, and drive outcomes across diverse teams.
Work Environment
- Hybrid work model with flexibility to work from office and remote locations.
- Participation in key team meetings and collaboration sessions is expected.
- Most work is completed during local business hours; however, flexibility to attend select PST-aligned meetings during active UAT cycles is preferred.
- Time shifting is not required, but participation in critical discussions and testing activities is important for project success.
