What You'll Be Doing
1 - Establishes trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, providing financial insight and challenge across strategic and operational initiatives.
2 - Leads end-to-end financial planning and reporting for the unit, including budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across Opex, Capex and headcount.
3 - Owns financials across complex programmes and functions, including software spend, vendor contracts, and large-scale capital investments.
- Provides financial leadership on major business cases, investment appraisals and procurement projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Tracks and articulates cost variances, risks and opportunities across multi-million pound cost bases, enabling informed decision-making.
- Drives cost transformation and efficiency initiatives, using data-led analysis to identify opportunities and influence change.
- Ensures financial governance and stewardship across multiple teams and programmes, managing risk and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Improves understanding and impact of financial reporting on business performance, linking strategy to KPIs and financial outcomes.
- Coaches and develops finance talent, supporting team engagement and capability building across UK and offshore teams.
- Implements continuous improvement in financial processes, systems and controls, resolving data issues and enhancing reporting accuracy.
