- Adecco is partnering with our client, a public sector agency to hire a Finance Business Partner.
- In this role, you will work closely with business units, project managers, and senior stakeholders to provide strategic financial guidance, drive operational excellence, and support informed business decision-making. You will be part of a Finance Business Partnering team focused on ensuring financial sustainability through effective planning, analysis, governance, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Candidates who are able to start work within short notice/immediately available will be preferred.
The Talent
- Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or relevant professional qualification
- Minimum 5 years of finance experience, including business partnering, commercial finance, or financial analysis
- Experience supporting business decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting, business reviews, and scenario planning
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all organizational levels
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable handling large volumes of financial and operational data
- Self-motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Technical Requirements:
- Workday experience (essential)
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and budget management
- Experience with dashboard and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and financial modelling
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint presentation skills
- Knowledge of Python and/or SQL is advantageous
Preferred:
- Experience within a technology-driven environment
- Experience in process improvement, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
Job Description
As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide financial partnering support to business stakeholders while delivering robust financial analysis, reporting, governance, and strategic recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with divisions and project managers to analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations
- Conduct business reviews, forecasting, scenario analysis, and business case evaluations
- Lead cost optimization initiatives and process improvement projects
- Execute month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare financial reports, budget allocations, and budget virements
- Analyze financial variances and operational metrics to support business decisions
- Prepare revenue and expense accruals, grant recovery documentation, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies
- Support purchase order management, fixed asset transfers, and budget administration activities
- Respond to stakeholder queries and provide financial advice and guidance
- Participate in system enhancement initiatives and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Support team members on operational and strategic finance activities
- Contribute to ad-hoc analysis projects and business initiatives as assigned
