Job Title: Senior Associate Accountant

About the Role:We are seeking a proactive and capable Senior Associate Accountant to independently manage the finance and accounting functions of our company's subsidiaries and associate entities. Since ours is a foreign MNC, the role involves Statutory & Tax Audits, Group Reporting, Transfer Pricing compliance, and taking ownership of key financial activities and leadership responsibilities as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:1. Audit & Compliance:- Independently handle Statutory Audit and Tax Audit for subsidiaries and associate companies.
- Prepare and finalize standalone financial statements as per Indian GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure timely compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage Transfer Pricing documentation and reporting.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders for audits and filings.
2. Accounting & Reporting:- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and ledger scrutiny.
- Ensure accurate month-end and year-end financial closures.
- Maintain complete documentation and records to ensure audit readiness.
- Prepare and submit Group Reporting packs annually and ensure alignment with group consolidation timelines.
3. Financial Planning & Analysis:- Prepare Budgets, Forecasts, and Variance Analysis for management.
- Prepare and maintain Cost Sheets to support decision-making.
- Analyze key cost drivers and support cost optimization initiatives.
- Present financial performance and insights to management on a periodic basis.
4. Leadership & Coordination:- Take ownership of the finance function for subsidiaries and associate entities.
- Act as a single point of contact for all financial, statutory, and audit-related matters.
- Support special finance or business requirements as they arise.
- Collaborate with group finance teams to ensure compliance with global reporting standards.
Requirements:- Educational Qualification:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Semi-qualified CA/CMA candidates with relevant experience and expertise are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience: 35 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or MNC environment.
- Article ship Experience in Big 10 audit/consulting firms will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, statutory compliance, audit procedures, group reporting, and transfer pricing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Odoo preferred).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to work in a rural SEZ location (near Kalpakkam).
