Job Description

Role Overview and Responsibilities:

Dhruva Space is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Associate to support and strengthen our finance operations and analytical functions. This full-time role involves managing core financial activities, ensuring compliance, and contributing to data-driven decision-making within a dynamic, innovation-focused space-tech environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, solid accounting knowledge, and the ability to independently handle finance responsibilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Manage daily finance operations such as bookkeeping, internal documentation, reconsiderations, and report generation.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Perform variance analysis, identify discrepancies, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors for audits, compliance requirements, and other finance-related matters.
  • Conduct industry and competitor research to support strategic and financial decision-making.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
  • Handle confidential financial information with integrity and professionalism.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field. Candidates with CA Inter or MBA in Finance are preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with accounting/ERP software is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
