Job Summary:

The Finance and Commodity Hedging Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing our commodity hedging strategies, analyzing financial data, and supporting overall financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance, accounting, or an MBA with relevant experience, and will play a crucial role in mitigating financial risks associated with commodity fluctuations.

Key Responsibilities:

Commodity Hedging Strategy:

Develop and implement commodity hedging strategies to manage and mitigate risks related to price fluctuations.

Monitor market trends and commodity prices to make informed decisions and adjustments to hedging strategies.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Perform financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Prepare detailed reports on hedging activities, financial performance, and market conditions for management review.

Risk Management:

Identify and evaluate financial risks related to commodity exposure and recommend appropriate hedging instruments and strategies.

Work closely with traders and other stakeholders to ensure effective execution of hedging strategies.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to commodity trading and hedging.

Maintain accurate documentation of hedging transactions, strategies, and outcomes.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including trading, procurement, and finance, to align hedging strategies with overall business objectives.

Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on risk management and financial performance.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and new financial instruments.

Recommend improvements to hedging processes and financial analysis techniques.

Qualifications:

Education:

CA (Chartered Accountant), CA Intern, or MBA with a focus on finance or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in finance, commodity hedging, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience in developing and managing commodity hedging strategies.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of financial markets, commodity trading, and risk management principles.

Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling software).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
