About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Finance Manager to support our India operations, which includes that of two legal entities, MGF Sourcing India Private Limited (MGF India IPL) and MGF Sourcing Far East, Limited, India Liaison Office MGF India LO), during a key transition period. This role will be instrumental in maintaining continuity, evaluating the current finance function, and contributing to future improvements.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations Management
- Oversee daily financial transactions across departments, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, expenses, and cost allocations.
- Collaborates with local vendors to reconcile, issue, and timely collect accounts receivable invoices for services performed by MGF India PL to the vendors.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
- Develop and enhance financial SOPs to align with business operations.
- Supervise reconciliation of bank accounts, petty cash, and intercompany transactions.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads; consolidate and present budgets for approval.
- Monitor budget performance, conduct variance analysis, and provide monthly reports to management.
- Forecast cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
3. Cost Control & Profitability Analysis
- Analyze operating costs and cost centers to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Deliver financial insights on operational performance and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability.
4. Accounting & Compliance
- Ensure maintenance of accurate books of accounts in accordance with Indian GAAP and company policies.
- Handle direct and indirect tax compliance (GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF, etc.), and ensure timely filing of returns and any tax audits.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions as needed.
5. Audit & Risk Management
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Implement and maintain effective internal control systems.
6. Treasury & Banking
- Manage local bank accounts and ensure compliance with RBI reporting.
- Handle fund transfers from Hong Kong and monitor cash flow.
7. Process & System Improvement
- Collaborate with Sourcing team, HR & other departments to streamline workflows and automate financial reporting.
- Support ERP implementation and digital transformation initiatives to enhance data accuracy and reporting capabilities.
8. Business Support & Strategic Planning
- Provide financial support for business planning, expansion, and investment decisions.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics AX) support evolving financial and operational needs.
9. Overseeing Admin Department
- Must oversee and support certain Administrative Activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; CPA/ACCA/CA certification is preferred.
- 12-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 8 years in a managerial or operational finance role.
- Strong background in budgeting, cost control, and operations finance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).

- Skilled in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other financial reporting tools.
