Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Product Controller to support daily and monthly financial reporting, maintain a strong control environment, and provide valuable insights into business performance.

• review and produce daily and monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery
• validate T0 versus T1 reporting and provide clear commentary on key profit and loss drivers and variances
• perform profit and loss and balance sheet control checks to ensure accurate reporting on a daily and month-end basis
• perform reconciliations, investigate breaks, and ensure all issues are identified, resolved, and appropriately escalated
• maintain a strong control environment by ensuring all controls, policies, and governance requirements are consistently followed
• partner with stakeholders across Finance and the business to support reporting accuracy, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement
  
  

The team

You'll be joining the Global Banking Product Control team within Group Finance. The team is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining a robust control environment, and providing insights into business performance. Working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider organisation, you'll play an important role in supporting effective decision-making and ensuring the integrity of financial information.

Your Skills And Experience

• at least 5 years of experience in Product Control within the financial services industry
• university degree or equivalent qualification, preferably CA, MBA, or a related discipline
• strong understanding of double-entry accounting and its application to financial products
• solid knowledge of the accounting impact of transactions on profit and loss and the balance sheet
• proactive and change-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation abilities and the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• collaborative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
