ROLE OVERVIEW
The Finance Analyst will be responsible for supporting credit evaluation, financial analysis, and deal assessment across corporate finance transactions including working capital, trade finance and Term financings. The role focuses on end-to-end analytical support including conducting detailed financial analysis and modelling, credit risk assessment, supporting valuation and structuring activities within a financial advisory environment.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis / credit / banking / financial services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of working capital, corporate lending structures and trade finance products
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and multiple transactions simultaneously
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Credit Analysis & Risk Assessment
- Analyze credit applications and financial statements
- Risk assessment across credit, market, and operational risks
- Identify key risks & propose potential mitigants
- Prepare preliminary credit notes followed up with a Transaction teaser to support deal progression.
2. Financial Analysis & Modelling
- Analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Perform ratio analysis, working capital cycle analysis, and cash flow assessment
- Identify and communicate additional information required for a comprehensive financial assessment
- Maintain and update financial models and templates.
- Build and maintain financial models including projections incorporating assumptions, capex plans, and financing structures.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis, scenario testing, and stress testing
- Evaluate debt capacity and repayment profiles (amortization, bullet, sculpted repayments) along with DSCR calculations.
3. Valuation & Feasibility Analysis
- Support DCF and comparable valuation methodologies
- Prepare feasibility studies and deal assessments
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare credit memos (internal formats, partnered banks format), financial summaries, and internal reports
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data and outputs
- Preparing Financial Teaser and Information Memorandum (IM)
5. Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
