Role Description

Own the finance and compliance side of operations while managing regulatory compliance, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring adherence to legal and operational standards. The role keeps the company's books accurate, current, and audit-ready while supporting grant applications, investor reporting, and statutory compliance. Works closely with Procurement and the founders on spend, runway, and cross-functional financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Run monthly payroll via RazorpayX, including reimbursements and expense claims
• Develop financial reports and maintain burn-rate and project-expense tracking — cost per item, monthly burn, and project P&L
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and operational standards; flag discrepancies and risks early
• Collect, organize, and match invoices for compliance; reconcile purchase records with Procurement
• Maintain accurate financial records, audit-ready for statutory filings, investor reporting, and due diligence
• Support financial paperwork for grant applications and government fund schemes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate with external CAs, auditors, and legal counsel

Requirements: 2–4 years in finance, compliance, or related operations Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or equivalent; CA Inter or relevant certifications are a plus Strong analytical skills for financial reporting, data analysis, and decision-making Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams and with external stakeholders Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Comfortable in a defense-sector environment with confidentiality obligations.

Preferred Exposure: RazorpayX, Zoho Books, or Tally; GST / TDS / PF / ESI and startup compliance; grant or government-scheme reporting (DRDO, iDEX, NIDHI); investor due-diligence and audit cycles
