As NYX scales its business and media operations, we are looking for a Finance & Accounts Lead who can take immediate ownership of our finance, accounting, billing, reconciliation, and compliance processes.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on finance professional with experience in a media agency, digital marketing agency, performance marketing company, or media buying environment.

This is not just an accounting role. We need someone who understands the commercial side of media, can work with large volumes of transactions and reconciliations, identify gaps, and build processes that scale.

The person should be comfortable taking ownership from Day 1 and solving problems independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end client billing, invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations
• Reconcile media spends across Meta, Google, and other digital/media platforms
• Track campaign budgets, actual spends, commitments, margins, and outstanding payments
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Maintain accurate books, ledgers, bank reconciliations, and financial records
• Manage GST, TDS, taxation, statutory compliance, and audit coordination
• Prepare MIS, cash-flow reports, P&L inputs, ageing reports, and periodic financial reports
• Work closely with media, performance marketing, sales, and client servicing teams to resolve billing and reconciliation discrepancies
• Coordinate with clients, media partners, and vendors for collections and timely payouts
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, margin tracking, and working-capital planning
• Identify financial leakages, reconciliation gaps, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency
• Build and strengthen finance processes, controls, reporting systems, and SOPs as NYX scales

What We're Looking For

• 4–8+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts
• Strong preference for experience in media agencies, digital agencies, performance marketing companies, or media buying businesses
• Strong understanding of media billing, campaign reconciliation, client invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, taxation, statutory compliance, and audits
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related field
• CA Intermediate / candidates who have cleared CA Foundation or CA Intermediate levels will have an added advantage
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• Hands-on experience with Tally, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software
• Strong commercial understanding and ability to work closely with business and media teams
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial workflows independently

Key Skills & Mindset

We are specifically looking for someone with a first-principles thinking and problem-solving mindset.

You should be able to go beyond simply maintaining accounts — understand why a discrepancy exists, identify the root cause, solve it, and create a process that prevents it from happening again.

Strong ownership, analytical thinking, commercial acumen, attention to detail, and bias for action are critical for this role.
