Job Description

About the Company: Karo Sambhav is a pioneering enterprise dedicated to making recycling a way of life for a billion people, driving a circular economy movement primarily across India. We provide multi-sectoral solutions, including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks, compliance management, and a robust technology platform for various waste streams such as e-waste, plastic, battery, and glass. Collaborating with enterprises, governments, and consumers, we build critical ecosystems and implement programs that deliver significant environmental and social impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
  • Conduct thorough bank and ledger reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with internal program and operations teams to monitor project budgets and expenditure related to EPR schemes and waste collection initiatives, ensuring financial alignment with operational goals.
  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and analyses, providing clear insights to support decision-making and uphold transparency across the organisation.
  • Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is meticulously organised and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to enhancing financial controls and processes, demonstrating a proactive approach to efficiency and accountability within our dynamic circular economy model.

Experience and Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; CA Inter/pursuing CA or equivalent professional qualification is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of progressive experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a fast-paced or impact-driven organisation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP B1) and MS Excel, with a solid understanding of Indian accounting standards and taxation frameworks (GST, TDS).
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments, translating financial information for non-finance stakeholders and fostering a culture of financial awareness.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and meticulous approach to financial management and process improvement in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and empathy, reflecting Karo Sambhav's core values and commitment to transparency in all financial dealings.
