Role Description

This is a consultancy-based contract role for a Mechanical/Electrical Service Engineer based in India. The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, and after-sales support of cigarette packaging equipment. Primary regions are India and UAE, global assignments are possible depending on project needs and applicant availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contributing to installation and commissioning of high-speed cigarette packaging equipment.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting, maintenance, and service support to customers.
  • Conduct equipment testing, calibration, and optimization to ensure efficient production performance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary technical contact during equipment installation.
  • Train client staff on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, service reports, and commissioning records.
  • Travel within India, UAE, and globally as required to support installation and after-sales activities.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, and Inspection techniques.
  • Knowledge of automatic packaging equipment and related industries.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a client-facing environment.
  • Prior experience in installation and commissioning of cigarette packaging equipment (G.D, Molins, Sasib, Focke) is a plus.
  • Flexibility to travel and willingness to work on-site in dynamic environments.
