We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Field Service Engr I to join our team at Sparta Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential on-site preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for various control systems, ensuring operational continuity and strong customer relationships.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, including system backup, modification, report submission, and supervision of system cleaning.
- Execute corrective and emergency maintenance to restore systems from faults and ensure prompt issue resolution.
- Conduct shutdown maintenance as required.
- Manage logistics, including carrying materials for on-site problem resolution and ensuring proper documentation for material movement.
- Conduct PC troubleshooting and networking tasks.
- Complete required documentation (approximately 40% of the role).
- Provide continuous support during exigencies, maintaining 24x7 availability.
- Execute service projects and system migrations.
- Identify prospects, conduct pre-sales site assessments, and develop them into firm leads.
- Proactively identify opportunities for migrations and add-ons, collaborating with customers to address their needs with appropriate solutions.
- Act as a single point of contact for all customer needs for designated accounts.
- Adhere strictly to ISO, HSE, commercial guidelines, and all company process compliances.
- Be willing to serve as a Site Support Specialist (Resident Support Engineer) as needed.
Skills Requirement:
- Demonstrated knowledge of DCS and PLC systems with hands-on experience.
- Matured skills in independent troubleshooting and problem resolution on these platforms.
- Ability to understand customer needs and extend service support both on-site and remotely.
- Proven capability to build, develop, and sustain strong customer relationships through effective management.
- Ability to plan site visits according to agreed SLAs and regional/central revenue plans.
- Fluent oral and written communication skills.
- Politeness and good communication skills are essential for all interactions.
- Familiarity with Honeywell systems is an added advantage.
