Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Field Service Engineer (PLC, HMI & Servo Programmer) based in Chennai, with some flexibility for remote work. The role involves programming, testing, and commissioning of PLCs, HMIs, and Servo systems at client sites. Responsibilities include field service, troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, regular preventive maintenance of systems, and providing technical support to clients. The engineer will also collaborate with customers to offer solutions and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Field Service and Preventive Maintenance to ensure smooth operation and reliability of industrial automation systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for addressing and resolving technical issues efficiently
• Experience in providing Technical Support and Customer Service to deliver excellent client interaction and issue resolution
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, and Servo programming, along with related industrial automation technologies.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLC, HMI, VFD, and industrial automation systems at customer sites.

Program, modify, and upload/download PLC logic for multi-brand PLCs such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Delta, Omron, Allen-Bradley, Schneider etc.

Develop, edit, and troubleshoot HMI screens (Siemens, Weintek, Delta, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.)

Troubleshoot, tune, and configure servo drives & motors.

Perform field service visits for breakdown, preventive maintenance, and AMC support.

• Install and commission new automation systems and panels.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in both on-site and remote settings
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field
• Previous experience in industrial automation or a related industry is an advantage
• Familiarity with brands like Mitsubishi, Siemens, omron, delta is highly beneficial
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Knowledge of industrial networks (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet).

Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Good communication skills in English/Tamil.

Willingness to travel for site service.
