Job Summary
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of breathing apparatus and safety equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction through technical expertise and effective coordination.
Responsibilities
- Perform start-up, contract, preventive, and corrective maintenance on breathing apparatus and related safety equipment to ensure operational reliability.
- Diagnose equipment faults by identifying root causes and implement corrective actions independently to minimize downtime.
- Conduct inspection, testing, servicing, repair, and functional verification of breathing apparatus and associated equipment to maintain safety standards.
- Respond promptly to breakdown calls and emergency service requests, resolving issues efficiently to optimize equipment turnaround time.
- Manage assigned service orders from initiation to completion by coordinating with Service, Logistics, and other departments to ensure timely delivery.
- Liaise directly with customers and stakeholders to communicate technical issues, service requirements, equipment status, and delivery schedules clearly.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior service personnel or technicians to enhance team capability and service quality.
- Participate in service projects, equipment improvement initiatives, emergency response activities, and other technical assignments to support continuous improvement.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to customers and internal teams to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Fulfil Workplace Safety & Health responsibilities and actively participate in safety activities to maintain a safe working environment.
Position Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering with relevant experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in service or engineering roles, preferably in Oil & Gas, Process, Semiconductor, or Electronics industries.
- Hands-on experience with pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
