The Role This is a hardcore, high-impact hunter role. We are not looking for someone to sit in the office. You will spend your days in the field, identifying new industrial and commercial projects, gate-breaking at construction sites, and tracking down the key decision-makers. Your primary goal is to gather project intelligence and secure introductory meetings for our top management to close the deal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Scouting & Gate-Breaking: Physically visit upcoming industrial zones, commercial buildings, and corporate parks to identify new interior and furniture projects.
  • Intelligence Gathering: Bypass gatekeepers to identify and collect contact details of key stakeholders: Architects, Project Management Consultants (PMCs), Promoters, Project Managers, and Procurement Heads.
  • Meeting Coordination: Pitch SMK Modulars capabilities and successfully arrange formal meetings between the site decision-makers and our senior management.
  • Market Research & Cold Calling: Supplement field visits with internet research to track upcoming projects and conduct cold calls to local architects and corporate offices.
  • Daily Reporting: Maintain strict daily discipline. Submit end-of-day reports updating the management on sites visited, contacts gathered, and current site status, accompanied by real-time site photos.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: 1 to 4 years of strict field sales experience in the interior/building materials sector (e.g., selling plywood, laminates, hardware, flooring, paints, or modular furniture). You must understand basic interior terminology.
  • The Hustler Mentality: You are self-motivated, hardworking, completely honest in your reporting, and do not take no for an answer at the security gate.
  • Existing Network: Previous contacts and relationships with architects, builders, and PMCs in the Gujarat region are highly preferred.
  • Mobility: You must have your own 2-wheeler or car and a valid driving license.
