Position Summary

The Sales Manager - LME Business, India will lead the national growth strategy, sales execution, and market expansion for Wolters Kluwer's Lippincott Medical Education (LME) portfolio, including eBooks, digital learning platforms, assessment solutions, AI-enabled learning tools, and other institutional solutions for medical, nursing, and health sciences education.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, building a high-performing sales team, expanding institutional adoption, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders across medical colleges, universities, nursing colleges, teaching hospitals, government institutions, and healthcare education ecosystems.

The successful candidate will combine strong people leadership with strategic selling expertise, managing both direct and partner-led sales channels while ensuring customer retention, long-term account growth, and market leadership in India.

Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership & Sales Growth

  • Lead and coach a team of sales professionals to achieve regional and national business targets.
  • Own both team quota and individual sales targets, leading from the front on strategic opportunities and key accounts.
  • Drive new customer acquisition, account expansion, renewals, and revenue growth across the digital books (LME) portfolio.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline, maintain forecast accuracy, and ensure effective CRM usage.
  • Conduct customer meetings, product presentations, and executive-level engagements to accelerate business growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customers needs to identify growth opportunities.

Strategic Account Management & Customer Success

  • Manage and grow relationships with key stakeholders including Deans, Principals, Faculty, Librarians, Hospital Administrators, and Government decision-makers.
  • Drive adoption and utilization of Wolters Kluwer digital solutions to maximize customer value, retention, and long-term partnerships.
  • Support government, institutional, and enterprise opportunities, including strategic projects and procurement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Channel Partners to ensure successful customer outcomes and business growth.
  • Develop account plans for key customers and identify opportunities for cross-sell, upsell, and multi-year partnerships.

Critical Skills & Experience

  • 8-12 years of experience in Education, EdTech, Healthcare Education, Publishing, or SaaS sales.
  • Proven experience managing a sales team while carrying an individual sales target.
  • Strong institutional and key account management skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence senior academic and government stakeholders.
  • Strong sales coaching, negotiation, forecasting, and pipeline management capabilities.
  • Experience with CRM tools (SFDC preferred) and data-driven sales management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
