The Solar Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Install, assemble, and maintain solar PV panels, inverters, batteries, and mounting systems
- Perform site inspections and system testing before and after installation
- Diagnose and repair system faults, electrical issues, and performance problems
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and system upgrades
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Maintain accurate service reports, logs, and documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and clients as required
- Follow health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines at all times
Required Qualifications- Diploma / ITI / Certification in Electrical, Renewable Energy, or related field
- Proven experience in solar PV installation or electrical work
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and tools
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical drawings
- Willingness to work at heights and outdoor sites
