Field Sales Engineer Training & Development (Manufacturing Sector)

Skillnet Learning LLP is a DPIIT-recognized startup working in education and skill development, registered as an LLP in Haryana. We partner with industrial clusters, MSMEs and skill councils to design and deliver training, capacity-building and workforce development programs. We are expanding our Training & Development footprint in the manufacturing sector and are hiring a Field Sales Engineer to drive this growth on the ground.

The Field Sales Engineer will identify, pursue and close Training & Development opportunities with manufacturing companies, industrial clusters, MSMEs and related associations. The role combines a technical understanding of manufacturing operations with consultative sales skills, translating client skill-gaps into Skillnet training proposals, RFP responses and long-term partnerships.

• Identify and map manufacturing companies, industrial clusters, MSME associations and OEMs as potential Training & Development clients
• Conduct field visits and client meetings to understand skill-gap needs and present Skillnet's training solutions
• Respond to RFPs/RFQs/EOIs from manufacturing sector clients, industry associations and skill development bodies
• Draft and present commercial and technical proposals, tailored to each client's manufacturing processes and workforce needs
• Build and manage a sales pipeline; achieve monthly/quarterly revenue and client-acquisition targets in the manufacturing vertical
• Coordinate with the training delivery, content and operations teams to ensure smooth handover after deal closure
• Maintain relationships with existing manufacturing clients for repeat business and referrals
• Track competitor activity, industry trends and government/CSR skilling schemes relevant to manufacturing
• Prepare Minutes of Meeting (MoM), visit reports and CRM/pipeline updates after each client interaction
• Represent Skillnet at industry events, cluster meetings and trade exhibitions

Preferred / Good to Have

• Prior experience selling to manufacturing companies, industrial associations or MSME clusters in Punjab/Haryana/North India
• Existing network among manufacturing HR heads, plant heads or industry association office-bearers
• Exposure to government skilling schemes (Skill India, sector skill councils, CSR-funded training) and their procurement processes
• A two-wheeler/four-wheeler and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
