Job Description: Field Sales Engineer Construction Equipment

Experience: 0 to 8 + Years

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for construction equipment in the assigned territory.
• Visit customer sites, contractors, and project locations to understand requirements and propose suitable solutions.
• Demonstrate product features, benefits, and technical specifications to clients.
• Generate inquiries, prepare quotations, and follow up until closure.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, project managers, dealers, and key decision-makers.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for equipment and attachments.
• Coordinate with service teams for machine demos, commissioning, and after-sales support.
• Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales reports, customer records, and daily visit reports.
• Support marketing activities, product promotions, roadshows, and customer meets.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of construction/earthmoving equipment (Excavators, Loaders, Compactors, etc.).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer handling skills.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and explain products to customers.
• Good networking and relationship-building ability.
• Result-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to travel extensively.
• Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and reporting tools.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E / B.Tech/ in Mechanical, Automobile, or related engineering field or any graduate
• Experience in construction equipment, heavy machinery, or industrial equipment sales preferred.
