SALARY: ₹13,000/month + ₹2000 travel allowance

Sahachaari (സഹചാരി) means Companion in Malayalam.

We are a healthcare technology startup being built by a team of Keralite professionals currently based in the UK, India, and internationally. We are building Kerala's first trained companion service for elderly parents - connecting them with verified, trusted companions for hospital visits, medicine management, doctor consultation escorts, wellness check-ins, and emergency response.

Our platform is designed for the millions of NRI families in the Gulf, UK, and across India who worry every day about their elderly parents back home in Kerala. We are currently in our pre-launch validation phase and are building towards becoming a pan-India and internationally recognised elder care brand.

The person we hire today as a Field Coordinator could become our Kozhikode District Manager, our North Kerala Operations Head, or a senior member of our national operations team as we grow.

We are looking for people who want to grow with us- not just work for a month.

The Role

As our Field Market Research Coordinator for the Kozhikode and Malabar region, you will be the face of Sahachaari on the ground. Your work directly shapes the service we build and the lives we improve.

You will:

SURVEY COLLECTION

• Visit hospitals, clinics, and medical centres across Kozhikode and surrounding districts - Malappuram, Kannur, Wayanad, Kasaragod
• Approach elderly patients and their family caregivers in waiting areas and help them complete our digital survey on your smartphone
• Reach out to families in your own community and social networks who have elderly parents at home
• Connect with NRI families in your area whose parents live in Malabar
• Conduct brief, warm conversations to understand people's real healthcare challenges

COMPANION RECRUITMENT

• Visit nursing colleges, ANM/GNM institutions, and healthcare training centres in Malabar
• Talk to nursing students and recent graduates about the Sahachaari Companion programme
• Attend Kudumbashree meetings, ASHA worker gatherings, and community health worker events
• Help interested candidates complete our companion interest survey

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

• Build relationships with hospital facilitation desks and patient help centres
• Identify community leaders, mosque committees, church groups, and temple trusts who can help spread awareness
• Represent Sahachaari at any relevant community events or health fairs in the region

What We Are Looking For

ESSENTIAL- you must have these:

• Based in Kozhikode city or nearby district- within easy reach of major hospitals
• Own smartphone with good internet connection
• Own two-wheeler (bike or scooter) for travel within the region
• Fluent Malayalam speaker
• Comfortable approaching and conversing with strangers
• Honest, self-motivated, and reliable- able to work independently without daily supervision
• Available full time for the duration of the role

PREFERRED- these will make you stand out:

• Background in nursing, healthcare, community health, social work or marketing
• Experience as an ASHA worker, Anganwadi worker, Kudumbashree member or Nurse
• Existing connections with hospitals, nursing colleges, or community health networks in Malabar
• Basic English reading ability-for using our digital tools
• Prior experience in field research, data collection, or community outreach
• Personal connection to the problem- if you have elderly parents or grandparents and understand the challenge of hospital visits
