Role Description The Field Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Gangtok, responsible for overseeing field operations and supporting the adoption of FERMIFY's agri-input solutions. This role involves regular visits to farms and dealer locations, providing product demonstrations, technical guidance, and responsible application support to farmers and partners. The Field Manager will coordinate with dealers and distributors, collect market and field feedback, and assist in planning and executing local sales and outreach activities. Daily tasks include monitoring crop performance, documenting field observations, reporting on product performance, and collaborating with internal teams to improve farmer support and service quality. The role also includes organizing farmer meetings, training sessions, and field days to promote best practices in crop protection and plant health.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of agriculture, crop protection, plant health, and sustainable farming practices.
• Experience in field operations, farmer engagement, and dealer or distributor coordination in the agriculture sector.
• Ability to provide technical guidance, conduct product demonstrations, and communicate complex information in a clear and practical way.
• Skills in field data collection, basic reporting, and using digital tools or mobile applications for documentation and communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with farmers, dealers, and local stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently in on-site field conditions and manage schedules across multiple locations.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the region and a valid authorization to work in the location.
• Local language proficiency and prior experience in the Gangtok or surrounding region will be an added advantage.
