ABOUT SAKSHI

Sakshi is a gender justice organisation based in New Delhi, working to prevent gender based violence and build gender equality across India. The organisation operates two flagship initiatives: The Rakshin Project for Youth, a youth and child protection fellowship in partnership with the NSS Directorate, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India reaching 1,20,000+ students across 1,750+ colleges and universities; The KalGyani Project, a legal literacy programme implemented as the National Technical Legal Literacy Partner under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission, Ministry of Rural Development Government of India, working across 8 states; and the The Rakshin Project for Anganwadis reaching 1,800+ Anganwadi Workers and Helpers across 5 states.

The KalGyani Project expands into Solapur District to integrate health and nutrition awareness and economic literacy across village governance representatives, youth, self-help group women, frontline health workers, Anganwadi workers and helpers, school students and teachers, and men and boys in the community.

Position : Field Facilitator (2)

Location : Malshiras Taluka, Solapur District, Maharashtra

(Preferably from the following villages - Dahigaon, Morochi, Kalamboli, Gursale, Pirale, Dombarwadi,

Sadashiv Nagar)

Salary Range : Rs.20,000/-(incl. taxes)+TA

Language - Fluency in Marathi language is mandatory, Fluency in Hindi and English is preferred

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Facilitation and Content Delivery – Co-facilitate structured sessions across school students

and teachers, health workers, village governance, youth and SHG women, and men and

boys. Use participatory methods (role plays, group discussions, case studies) adapted to

diverse age groups and literacy levels.

● Community and Institutional Relationship Building – Build and maintain relationships with

school principals, health facility staff, Anganwadi supervisors, village leaders, and SHG

federations. Coordinate on timetabling, venue arrangements, and flag infrastructure gaps to

funders and government departments.

● Monitoring and Documentation – Maintain attendance records, collect participant feedback,

document baseline and end-line data on menstrual health knowledge, gender norms, health-

seeking behaviour, and abuse reporting. Identify and report safeguarding concerns following

Sakshi's mandatory protocols.

● Peer-Educator Support – Identify and mentor peer educators from SHG women, youth,

teachers, and health workers to co-facilitate refreshers and sustain learning beyond Month 6.

● Team Coordination – Work collaboratively as a two-person co-facilitation team; participate in

weekly planning and reflection meetings with the project team; attend bi-weekly field visits

with the Programmes Lead for real-time support and adaptive management.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

● Education and Experience – Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Social Work, Education,

Public Health, Gender Studies, or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in

community facilitation, health promotion, or grassroots work in rural settings. Freshers with

strong commitment to gender justice and willingness to learn are welcome.

● Core Competencies – Strong communication skills in Marathi, Hindi, and English; comfort

facilitating conversations on sensitive topics (menstruation, gender-based violence, consent)

in a trauma-informed manner; basic digital literacy (MS Word, Google Forms, WhatsApp);

demonstrated understanding of or commitment to gender equality and community

development.

● Interpersonal and Practical Skills – Ability to work collaboratively as part of a two-person

facilitation team; flexibility and problem-solving orientation; willingness to travel to 7 villages

across Malshiras taluka.
