The Role
As a Field Engineer III with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- Review the Quality Management Plan developed for the project and update, as required. Implement the Quality Management Plan during construction phase of the project.
- Understand the requirements of construction quality specified in the contract agreement of the contractors.
- Collaborate with the discipline engineers in review of the contractor's quality plans, inspection test plans, job procedures, NDE procedures, Inspection checklists etc. and accord approval.
- Review and establish PQR & WPS. Witness welder qualification test.
- Collaborate with the team of discipline engineers, as required, to perform inspections and tests as per the approved quality plans.
- Perform inspection of NDT testing and PWHT etc. as per approved quality plans. Review and interpretation of all NDT test reports including Radiography films.
- Issue mechanical clearance and NDE clearance.
- Carry out inspection and issue punch lists, as applicable, for various systems.
- Perform inspection/witness hydro tests, pneumatic tests, and flushing.
- Coordination and tracking of RFIs and their status.
- Guide the material management team for preservation and proper storage of materials.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution for Quality issues, in coordination with Home Office.
- Develop schedule of technical audits of the contractors and perform technical audits in collaboration with the discipline engineers.
- Coordinate with Corporate Quality Assurance team for the Quality Assurance audits at site.
- Responsible for maintaining the Quality documents of the project, in collaboration with the Document Controller (if applicable), including calibration reports, test results, qualification records, inspection requests & reports, non-conformance reports, and request for information etc.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Knowledge of quality control of construction activities related to structural works, piping, and equipment (static as well as rotary). Well conversant with the requirements of various applicable standards (Indian Standards, ASME etc.).
- Minimum 7 years of experience for Graduate Engineers/10 years of experience for Diploma Engineers. Experience of working in Oil & Gas Sector and Chemicals
- Graduate in Engineering/Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline. ASNT NDT Level II certification.
- Knowledge of safe methods of execution of construction activities for the respective discipline
- Proficient in MS Office
- Team Player, interpersonal skills
- Adaptable, open towards learning and development, person of integrity and possess good communication skills
