WE ARE HIRING | Field Engineer (FE) – IT Infrastructure

Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra, India

We are looking for a skilled and flexible Field Engineer (FE) to handle on-site IT infrastructure activities, including site surveys, hardware installations, firmware upgrades, and dispatch assignments.

The selected candidate must be willing to travel to different customer locations as per project and dispatch requirements.

Phase 1 – Site Survey

• Conduct detailed physical site surveys based on the provided scope and templates.
• Capture device, rack, power, cabling, port, and infrastructure details.
• Verify available rack space and existing equipment.
• Record device model numbers, serial numbers, and asset information.
• Capture all required site photographs and videos.
• Identify site-specific constraints, risks, and dependencies.
• Prepare and submit site survey reports for BOM preparation.

Phase 2 – Installation & Upgrade

• Perform pre-staging of replacement devices.
• Carry out ISO and firmware upgrades using 32GB/64GB USB drives.
• Perform rack and stack activities for new/replacement devices.
• Handle cabling, port mapping, labeling, and connectivity activities.
• Assist remote engineers during configuration and deployment.
• Perform physical validation, testing, and connectivity checks.
• Provide troubleshooting support in coordination with RCP Engineers.
• Capture installation photographs and activity evidence.
• Share activity updates and completion reports.
• Obtain customer confirmation/sign-off upon successful completion.

Mandatory Technical Requirement – Cisco Nexus Hardware

Candidates must have in-depth hands-on knowledge of:

• Cisco Nexus 93180 Series hardware.
• Cisco Nexus 9348 Series hardware.
• PSU (Power Supply Unit) and FAN modules.
• Different PSU and FAN module types and specifications.
• Hardware compatibility, installation procedures, and replacement details.

Important: Please confirm the candidate's actual technical knowledge of Cisco Nexus 93180 and 9348 hardware, particularly PSU and FAN modules, before sharing the profile.

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to travel to different customer locations for dispatch activities.
• Should be capable of independently handling on-site infrastructure assignments.
• Must coordinate effectively with remote engineers and customer teams.
• Flexibility to support dispatch requirements across different locations is essential.
