The Environmentalist Foundation of India (E.F.I) is a wildlife conservation and habitat restoration group working towards the revival of India's freshwater ecosystems. Over the last 18+ years, E.F.I has restored 560+ water bodies across 18 states through volunteer-driven, result-oriented conservation projects. With a mission to Volunteer for India & her Environment, E.F.I actively engages communities, corporates, and institutions in meaningful environmental action. 

Role: Field Coordinator (Activation & Community Engagement)

Location: Chennai, Coimbatore, and Hosur (On-site)

Role Description

We are looking for a dynamic and field-driven Field Coordinator who will lead volunteer activations and on-ground engagement initiatives. This role is heavily focused on event execution, volunteer management, and community coordination.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing environmental activities, mobilizing volunteers, and ensuring seamless execution of weekend and CSR-driven engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute on-ground environmental activities and volunteer events
  • Mobilize, coordinate, and manage volunteer groups for regular activations
  • Build and maintain relationships with communities, institutions, and partners
  • Communicate with volunteers and keep them informed about upcoming activities
  • Support institutional engagement programs
  • Ensure smooth logistics and coordination during field events
  • Document activities and submit timely reports

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage events and coordinate large volunteer groups
  • Highly organized with the ability to work in fast-paced field environments
  • Good written and verbal communication in English
  • Understanding institutional engagement is an added advantage
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work on weekends

Who Can Apply

  • 0–2 years of experience in environmental conservation, social work, or community engagement
  • Any graduate (preferred: Social Work, Communication, Environmental fields)
  • Passion for environmental conservation and community-driven impact
