This role focuses on identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with fertilizer companies to convert FOM into commercially viable organic fertilizers. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in organic fertilizers, business development, and financial modeling to create value from a key by-product of the renewable energy sector, contributing to a circular economy and sustainable agriculture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, research, and evaluate potential fertilizer partner companies for the conversion, processing, and commercialization of Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) derived from CBG plants.
  • Initiate and lead discussions and negotiations with prospective partners, outlining the technical specifications, quality, and commercial terms for transforming FOM into various organic fertilizer products.
  • Develop and prepare comprehensive partnership agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), and other necessary legal and commercial documentation.
  • Create detailed financial models and robust business cases for proposed partnerships, assessing profitability, cost-effectiveness, revenue generation, and return on investment for FOM-based fertilizer production.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to understand the demand, pricing, competitive landscape, and regulatory frameworks for organic fertilizers in target markets.
  • Collaborate closely with internal technical, operations, and CBG plant teams to ensure the consistent quality, availability, and logistical aspects of FOM for partner processing.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing partners, ensuring mutual benefits and exploring opportunities for expansion and innovation in FOM utilization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and government policies related to organic fertilizers, waste-to-resource initiatives, and sustainable agriculture, particularly in the context of India's SATAT scheme.
  • Contribute to policy advocacy and liaise with relevant government bodies and industry associations to promote the adoption and standardization of FOM as a valuable agricultural input.
  • Prepare performance reports, operational metrics, and contribute to strategic planning and budgeting for FOM utilization initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related technical field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, M.Tech in relevant fields) or specialized certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in business development, sales, project management, or operations within the agriculture, fertilizer, waste management, or renewable energy sectors. At least 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or deputy management capacity. Prior experience with organic fertilizers, bio-waste valorization, or CBG plant by-products is highly preferred.
