About The Role

HyperRaah, a non-profit organization, is inviting applications from enthusiastic recent graduates to join its one-year fellowship program. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to work closely with schools by administering psychometric assessments and counselling students. The aim is to support them in making informed decisions about subject selection and future career pathways at a crucial stage of their development.

Rural exposure is essential. Candidates must be willing to work in field and village settings, engaging directly with students and parents. Travel to nearby villages may be required. The program is currently active in the Taran Taran belt, covering areas such a Bhikhiwind, Chabal, Sur Singh, Baba Budha Sahib, and adjoining areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel school students from Classes 9 to 12 in the village and local schools
  • Administer psychometric assessments as per organizational guidelines
  • Obtain written parental consent before conducting assessments
  • Support students in identifying suitable subjects and career options
  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions
  • Maintain secure student records, reports, and assessment documentation
  • Ensure confidentiality and responsible handling of student data
  • Coordinate with school authorities, teachers, and project teams
  • Escalate any serious mental health concerns to appropriate authorities or licensed professionals
  • Follow ethical practices, child safeguarding standards, and organizational guidelines
  • Submit timely reports and updates as required by the program lead
  • The Fellow will work under the supervision of the Senior Counselor / Program Lead.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Master's degree in psychology,
  • Demonstrate a strong interest and commitment to working in student counselling and career guidance.
  • Strong interest in student counselling, education, and youth development
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education

  • Master's degree in psychology.
