The Role

We are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for performing Model-Based Engineering (MBE) 1D simulations at system level. Your mission will be to support model-based engineering (MBE) activities along with FEA calculations at Global Engineering Center India Airpower. You should have very high penchant for engineering analysis and analytical work.

Major Responsibilities:

  • You perform 1D simulations along with FEA calculations for a wide range of applications and products. In close collaboration with your internal client and with the necessary creativity you translate your findings to a performant and cost-effective design. The client is guided by you from the moment you receive the request up to the implementation of the solution.
  • In all projects a customer focused approach is crucial. You are able to analyze the client's problem and assess if he needs a simple hand calculation or more complex 1D simulations. It is your task to select the most efficient and accurate solution strategy to tackle the job.
  • Components analyzed include compressor/pump frames, rotors, housings etc.
  • You identify opportunities to improve and/or expand our calculation models and tools. And together with your colleagues you introduce these improvements in our processes worldwid

BE/ M. Tech/ M.E.

Experience requirements

  • 2- 5 years of experience in Model Based Engineering (MBE) field using Matlab in Heavy machines, Automobile, Aerospace or any other related Mechanical systems/ assemblies
  • Must be good in Object Oriented Programming - OOPS concept in Matlab. Hands-on experience in Matlab is a must.

Added Advantage

  • MBE experience in Compressor/ Pumps assemblies
  • Knowledge of FEA calculations such as linear static nonlinear static domain using Ansys/ Altair tools
  • Experience in below programming skills is an added advantage
    • Simulink / Simscape
    • Unix-Shell scripts / TCL/tK / Python
