Broad Function :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer-Automation with a strong background in automation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on automation testing.
Roles And Responsibilities
- We need a resource with excellent practical knowledge of programming and test automation tools (Selenium, Java, TestNG & Cucumber).
- Should be able to create frameworks from scratch level.
- Good knowledge of SAAS products along with deep knowledge of microservices and Kaka log reading .
- Practical knowledge of testing APIs with Postman Tools and SOAP UI.
- Experience with testing Rest Assured APIs.
- Handson experience in Java with good logic and coding .
- Documents defects/bugs and enhancement requests and assists development with concise and detailed steps for duplication of the problems found while performing manual functional, integration, and regression tests.
- Experience with testing Web, Desktop application, Database, Web APIs and service, and hands-on experience in Black Box Testing.
- Perform test analysis on assigned user stories review acceptance criteria, collaborate with product owner contribute on completeness of user stories.
- Assist with trouble-shooting production-level issues, behaviors, and potential problems/defects.
- Have managed multiple environments QA env and production sanity with the help of automation script.
- Should be able to take complete responsibility/accountability for the work/task/job assigned and follow the testing standards and policies set by the team.
- Assists fellow agile team members and customers with problem reporting and resolution and maintaining appropriate follow-up & communications throughout the defect resolution process.
- Contributes to QA Story points estimation and test scheduling process.
- Creates high level test flows/ procedures with clearly defined test objectives.
- Work closely with the development staff to ensure that issues/defects are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Participated in all SCRUM events, including Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, daily stand-up, and Sprint Review.
- Participate in Deployment Testing exercises as needed.
Requirements
Desired Candidate profile :
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in quality assurance, with a focus on automation testing.
- Strong proficiency in developing and executing automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, etc.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Expertise with tools like JIRA for Defect / Test Management.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and across departments.
Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
